YOGA POSES FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE 

High blood pressure, also  known as hypertension, is among the most common health Problems. The more flexible your blood vessels, the less pressure required for blood flow and the lower your risk of high blood pressure . Arteries become more flexible through consistent practice of  yoga.

1. Balasana Or Child’s Pose-

Child’s Pose Or Balasana  provides an opportunity for calm and relaxation. It also prepares the hips and spine for movement by providing openness and length. Child Posenormalizes circulation of blood throughout the body.

 

2. Paschimottanasana Or Seated Forward Bend-

 Seated forward bends or Paschimottanasana  can be very calming.This Yoga Pose istherapeutic for high blood pressure. For this pose, have severalYoga  pillows available to stack on your thighs and rest your forehead on if you like. This Yoga Pose is very helpful for controlling blood pressure.

 

3. Baddha Konasana Or Bound Angle Pose -


Baddha Konasana  Improves circulation by stimulating the heart, therapeutic for high blood pressure. This  Yoga pose is a delicious hip opener, but it also increases your body’s circulation.

4. Janu Sirsasana Or Head-to-Knee Pose-

Talk about soothing. This Yoga pose not only stretches those super-tight muscles in your back and legs, but it also calms the mind and eases anxiety and fatigue.Head to Knee Pose is a therapeutic pose for high blood pressure.

6. Uttanasana (Standing forward bend pose)-

Uttanasana or the standing forward bend pose is beneficial for your nervous systems and will calm you down. The asana stretches your abdomen muscles and your hamstrings.

7. Viparita Karani (Legs-up-the-wall pose)

Viparita Karani is a mild pose to relax your body. This asana will improve blood circulation and make you look younger.

8. Adho mukha svanasana (Downward-facing dog pose)-

Adho mukha svanasana or the downward-facing dog pose is one of the most common yoga asanas. It is the ultimate rejuvenating yoga pose. Do this to calm your mind and relax your body.

9. Pashchimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend Pose)

Pashchimottanasana is one of the best yoga asanas for stress relief. It is also effective in lowering irritability, anger and anxiety.

10. Setu Bandhasana (Bridge pose)-

Bridge Pose stretches your chest, spine and neck. It strengthens your back muscles and is a great stress reliever. Bridge Pose is an ecxellent asana for  proper blood circulation in the body.
