Here are some great reasons to do the Eight Angle Pose OrAstavakrasanain your Yoga routine:

  1. Astavakrasana is an excellent Yoga asana to strengthen your lower body and build better balance and stability. 
  2.  Eight Angle Pose improves your arm strength. By training you balance your body weight on your arms, it gives you bigger biceps and better functionality.
  3. Since lifting your legs off the floor and extending them to one side uses a good amount of core strength, this Pose balances your body against gravity. This promotes overall endurance.
  4. Astavakrasana helps you tone your abdomen. This prevents obesity-related diseases such as that of the heart and kidneys.
  5. This Yoga Asana tones the complete body including the abdominal muscles, the legs, arms, buttocks, hips, and sides of the back. 
  6. The practice of Eight Angle Pose helps to stretch and contract the various muscles, like: the biceps and triceps, the diaphragm, the muscles of the back, the abdominal and core muscles, psoas, pelvic floor muscles, the gluteus, hamstrings, quadriceps, and calves.
  7. The Eight Angle Pose stretches and  strengthens the wrists, elbows, arms and shoulders, chest, hips, knees, ankles, and the spine.
